Leptospermum Scoparium or Manuka is a species of flowering plant in the Myrtle Family, indigenous to Australia and New Zealand. This Evergreen Shrub grows white, Aromatic Flowers that bloom during spring and has prickly leaves that can grow anywhere from 6-10 inches!
The history of Manuka Oil dates to 1769 when Captain Cook sailed into Mercury Bay in search of fresh water and supplies. He was greeted by the native, Maori people of New Zealand who offered him natural botanicals they used for wellness practices. 250 years later and Manuka Oil has become popular globally!
